Based on the famous Czech gun, that was used by Soviet Tankers and still in service in many countries, is now available in an electric-powered replica form from Tokyo Marui. It features the AEP innards, as found in the much-loved Marui MP7, and is also powered by a 7.2.v Micro EX battery. You may require an adaptor/step down converter for charging the battery. It has a 2 hour cut-off function on the charger to prevent the battery from over-charging. The SCORPION Mod M is a far more modernized version of the Vz61 as you can tell by the M-Lok Handguard, a folding stock that folds over to the right instead of over the top, a far longer ergonomic magazine, an incredibly aggressive looking trigger and flash hider. The flash hider itself can be removed revealing a 14mm CCW thread, but they've stylized it in a fashion where you can fit it the other way around so the teeth are facing backwards instead. Much like the Vz61, the battery is stored in the grip, but you'll have to purchase the Tokyo Marui 7.2v 500mah Battery (NiMH) separately. This is the brand new AEP you never thought you needed!

The ?korpion vz. 61 is a Czechoslovak 7.65 mm submachine gun developed in 1959 by Miroslav Rybá? (1924?1970) and produced under the official designation Samopal vzor 61 ("submachine gun model 1961") by the Ceská zbrojovka arms factory in Uherský Brod.

Although it was developed for use with security forces and special forces, the weapon was also accepted into service with the Czechoslovak Army, as a personal sidearm for lower-ranking army staff, vehicle drivers, armored vehicle personnel and special forces. Currently the weapon is in use with the armed forces of several countries as a sidearm. The ?korpion was also license-built in Yugoslavia, designated M84. It features a synthetic pistol grip compared to the original version. A civilian, semi-automatic version was also produced, known as the M84A, also available in .380 ACP (9×17mm Short).

The Vz61 has a folding stock, which Marui has decided to make out of metal - a wise choice, as it makes it very sturdy indeed. The lower receiver is also made from metal, which gives a nice solid feel when you hold it. It also comes with a rail mount which can be attached to underside of the barrel for mounting a laser/light.
